Volunteer Opportunities at Esperanza
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Esperanza Health Center! Since Esperanza's founding over 20 years ago, volunteers have played a key role in enabling the health center to fulfull its mission to provide compassionate, holistic healthcare to the Latino and underserved communities of Philadelphia. Volunteers and their abilities range across the spectrum. Past volunteers have included college and health professions students, medical personnel, nurses, missionaries, and professionals and other individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, all with the desire to share their talents and abilities as part of Esperanza's ministry.
Below is a summary of current volunteer needs at Esperanza Health Center. Please note that we only accept regular volunteers during normal clinic hours, Mondays - Fridays from 9am - 5pm.
Current Administrative Volunteer Needs
- Esperanza is currently seeking administrative volunteer support in a number of areas, including patient records management, quality assurance, and other general administrative/clerical needs.
- Esperanza’s Finance department seeks individuals with basic administrative and computer skills to provide consistent support for finance and billing tasks.
- We seek individuals who can commit to serving at least 1/2 to 1 day per week, or more, on a consistent basis.
- For all administrative volunteers, knowledge of MS Word/Excel helpful; Spanish language ability not required.
